about me tv/film music books
28 yr/o girl living in Sweden.
Currently a student.
I did find Facebook, and my lord, that place is eating my soul.
Arrested Development, Boondock Saints, Firefly, A League of Their Own, Oz, Resident Evil, Friends, The Goonies, Battlestar Galactrica, The Godfather I, II & III, Dead Like Me, Kill Bill I & II, Glee, Fight Club, The Colbert Report, Girl, Interrupted, True Blood, Wanted, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Benny & Joon, How I Met Your Mother, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Sopranos, Pirates of the Caribbean, NCIS, T2, Bones. Lists like these are boring, and really only represent the tv shows and movies I can remember that I like from the top of my head, or the DVD's I can see from the computer area. The same with the music section.
Tegan and Sara, Florence & The Machine, Michael Jackson, La Roux, Ray LaMontagne, Paramore, Death Cab For Cutie, Brandi Carlile, Whitney Houston, Michael Bublé, Dragonette, CCR, Heart, The Classic Crime, Hanson, Jon Foreman.
What I tend to do when making a list of music that I like is to go to iTunes and see who I've played recently, and who has the most songs etc on my iPod, and decide they're my favourites. Which is correct, but usually only for a specific space in time.
Florence & The Machine, for example - I was enamoured with the song 'Kiss With A Fist' for a few days. Then I heard Howl, and devoured it with my ears over & over again every day for a week. AMAZING OMG.
The ‘Outlander’ Series by Diana Gabaldon, Harry Potter Series (everone has to read Mark Reads Harry Potter on Buzznet rn okay?), Southern Vampire Series (the TV show is okay, but omg the books are so much better), all things Terry Pratchett, and all things Neil Gaiman, and all things Stephen King, particularly the Gunslinger series, The 100 Cupboard Series... I’ve actually been on a bit of a YA kick lately. Kristin Cashore! Graceling and Fire are both amazing books. I did read ‘The Forest of Hands and Teeth’, and while the premise is interesting, the book fell flat. Kinda reminded me of ‘The Village’ by M. Night Shamwow, only with actual zombies. Steig Larsson (gone too soon omg, ilh). When I grow up, I kinda want to be Salander. Stacia Kane's Downside series. Patrick Ness's Chaos Walking series. YA = eating my heart.
